About Madelyn
I am a tap dancer, instructor, and choreographer originally from Northern Virginia, now based in North Carolina. I trained at Studio Bleu Dance Center with Justin Lewis, Mark Osborn, and Nathan Beech, and had the privilege of being mentored by Chloe and Maud Arnold, founders of the Syncopated Ladies.
My performance experience includes 12 years with Studio Bleu’s advanced competition team, Disney’s Dance the Magic Main Street Parade, and the Fred & Adele Astaire Awards in New York City. I was also a member of the Jam Youth Project, a pre-professional tap company.
I have taught tap to students of all ages and levels across both Virginia and North Carolina and have choreographed for studios virtually worldwide. Currently, I teach classes, camps, and private lessons at Tonya’s Academy of Dance and The Space at Project Dance.
I am passionate about creating rhythmically driven choreography and sharing that passion through one-on-one and small group instruction. My work has been featured at Studio Bleu Dance Center, with the Appalachian State Syncopation Tap Club, and at dance studios in North Carolina, New Jersey, and Australia.
I will be graduating from Appalachian State University in May and plan to move to Greenville, South Carolina following graduation (summer 2026) to continue expanding my teaching and choreography career.
If you're interested in bringing dynamic, rhythm-driven tap to your studio or project, I would love to connect and collaborate.
